Interactive training material about hand hygiene

This web-based training material on hygiene in the healthcare sector is part of the effort to reduce the rate of healthcare acquired infections.

The training material is based on a review of the literature as well as on our own qualitative and quantitative studies.

Everything you need to know on hand hygiene!
Hand hygiene is an effective and well documented method to prevent the transmission of infections. Even so, less than half of healthcare personnel perform hand hygiene when it is recommended! There are many possible explanations for this but it is unacceptable and is now a major patient safety issue.

The intention with this training material is to make the individual user reflect on why s/he and others do not always do as they should.

We hope this will open a dialogue as to how we can all improve our hand hygiene with the ultimate goal of benefitting everyone in the healthcare system.

Explore the material and find inspiration on how to improve hand hygiene during your working hours.
